Monday – Friday: 6.30am – 9.00pm
Saturday – Sunday: 8.00am – 4.00pm
Do I need an induction?
If you are over 18 years old, and have used gyms before you don’t have to have an
induction. However if you would like one that’s no problem, just book an appointment in the gym.
I've lost my membership card, can I get another one?
Membership cards can be purchased for £1 from the gym desk.
How do I book classes?
We have an app called Clublink, which you can download from your app store or use
through your web browser or speak to the gym team at the desk. ymcagym.clubm.mobi/portal/booking/forthcoming
What if I need to cancel a class?
You can cancel using the app with more than 2 hours notice, if within 2 hours of the class, you need to call the gym or send a message through the app or email.
What age can children use the gym?
Young people can use the gym from 12 years old. They must have an induction prior to using the gym and have a completed health questionnaire from a parent/guardian.
12-13 years old are able to use the Main Gym and Functional Area, 14 years and over are able to use the Main Gym, Functional Room and Free Weights.
How do I cancel my direct debit membership?
Please email ymcagym@ymcanorthtyneside.org with your name and contact information, for
us to activate your 30 day cancellation notice period. We will then email you in return with your final payment date and membership end date.
Can I change my membership type?
Yes, you can change your membership type, please speak to a member of the gym team.
Can I freeze my membership?
Yes, you can freeze your direct debit membership for upto 6 months for the following reasons:
- Redundancy
- Serious injury
- Serious illness
- Pregnancy
Your membership will restart after the agreed dates end.
Can I change my direct debit date?
Yes. we can change the date of your direct debit on request after your first payment has been made. Changes cannot be made within 7 days of your payment date.
